I owe any artistic ability I have today to decades of drawing. When people ask me how they should improve their own artistic abilities, I tell them it's like everything else in life: it takes an investment of time and a willingness to continually challenge yourself. I have a large stack of sketchbooks filled with embarrassingly bad stuff that should not see the light of day... but without those countless hours, I would not have been able to keep progressing. I don't think I'll ever "arrive". It's a process and enjoying that road and what you learn along the way is what matters most. Here are a few of the less embarrassing pit stops along that journey... some of these have gone from sketches to digital drawings.
